Matthew 26:36-50
Today the children were told the story of Jesus and how he prayed about a hard job. When Jesus was living on earth, He prayed to God the Father for the same reason we pray. Jesus prayed alone in the Garden of Gethsemane whilst his friends were sleeping. The next day men came to arrest Jesus. Jesus did not argue or fight because He was ready to do what God wanted Him to do. He was ready because He had prayed.
